About Folio

Folio exists to make traders profitable.

That's it. Not "the most comprehensive." Not "the AI-powered next generation." Just one outcome we care about — your bottom line.

Why we're building this

Most traders don't blow up because they're stupid. They blow up because nobody helps them see the patterns destroying their accounts. The same setup that worked Tuesday fails Thursday. Position sizes creep up after wins. Stops widen after losses. The journal sits unopened.

I know this because I lived it.

I've been trading for 18 years. The last 9 of those, I worked inside fintech — building infrastructure at Libertex, watching how institutional traders manage what retail traders can't see. The gap was obvious: trading platforms make it easy to lose. Nobody makes it easy to learn.

Folio is what I would have built for myself fifteen years ago.

Why solo, why bootstrapped

Folio has no investors. No advisors with ten different ventures. No team page padded with phantom names. Just one person — the same one writing this — who codes during the day and trades at night.

This is intentional.

Solo means decisions get made in hours, not weeks. Bootstrapped means I answer to traders, not to a board demanding quarterly growth. No VC means no pressure to add features that look good in a pitch deck but hurt the product. When you email support, you reach me — the same person who shipped the bug you're reporting.

Software that's built to make you profitable can't simultaneously be built to maximize a Series A.

Principles

We don't celebrate your wins. We catch your patterns.

Other journals throw confetti when you hit milestones. Folio asks if your last winning streak made your position sizes irresponsible. Praise feels good. Truth makes money.

We don't sell premium analytics. We tell you what to do.

You don't need 47 metrics. You need to know that your last 3 losses were all on Mondays after winning Fridays. That's the entire point.

We don't pivot. We focus.

One product. One audience. One outcome. If "AI for retail" or "social trading" becomes the next hype cycle, Folio won't chase it. We're building the journal that makes you profitable.

What's coming

Right now Folio supports Bybit, Binance, OKX, Bitget, Gate.io, and Hyperliquid — six exchanges, all native API sync. After launch: more exchanges by user demand. Spot, futures, and options follow. AI Coach gets deeper context with each trade you log. Screenshot import for traders who don't sync.

This is the roadmap as I see it today. I'm not making promises about timelines because building software solo means surprises happen. What I can promise: every change we make answers one question — does it help traders become profitable?
